The missed-lead
calculator.

Ten seconds, five numbers, one uncomfortable truth: what your website loses every month to enquiries nobody answered. Run your own figures — the maths happens in your browser, not on our servers.

THE SHORT ANSWER

This free calculator estimates the revenue your website loses to unanswered out-of-hours enquiries. Enter your monthly visitors, enquiry rate and average job value; it applies a deliberately conservative 25% capture rate and shows the recoverable pounds per month — and how many months of a £49 chatbot that would pay for.

From Google Analytics, Plausible or your hosting stats.

Visitors who call, email or use your contact form. Most sites: 1–5%.

What one won enquiry is typically worth to you.

Evenings, weekends, lunch hours — check your inbox timestamps.

Be honest: no same-evening reply usually means a lost lead.

How does the calculator
do the maths?

STEP 1

Visitors → enquiries

Monthly visitors × your enquiry rate. 800 visitors at 3% is 24 people asking to give you money.

STEP 2

After-hours share

Enquiries × out-of-hours %. Evenings and weekends are when your website works alone.

STEP 3

The miss rate

After-hours enquiries × the % that never get a timely reply. That is your monthly leak, in leads.

STEP 4

Conservative recovery

Missed leads × 25% capture × job value. If only one in four converts, what is it worth?

THE WORKED DEFAULT EXAMPLE

800 visitors × 3% = 24 enquiries
24 × 40% out-of-hours = 9.6
9.6 × 70% missed = 6.72 leads
6.72 × 25% capture × £250 = £420 / month
£420 ÷ £49 = 8.6 months of HyperChat · £420 × 12 = £5,040 a year

Why instant answers matter: firms replying within the hour are dramatically more likely to qualify the lead than those replying a day later (Harvard Business Review, “The Short Life of Online Sales Leads”). A chatbot replies in under a second — see what chatbots cost and our flat £49 pricing.

03 // Questions

The maths, cross-examined.

How does the missed-lead calculator work?
Visitors × enquiry rate = monthly enquiries. Enquiries × out-of-hours % × missed % = the leads you lose each month. Missed leads × 25% capture × job value = estimated recovered revenue per month. It all runs in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
Why is a 25% capture rate conservative?
The bot answers every missed enquiry instantly, so 25% assumes only one in four of those conversations becomes revenue. Lead-response research (Harvard Business Review, “The Short Life of Online Sales Leads”) shows hour-one replies dramatically outperform next-day ones — and a chatbot replies in under a second. We keep the number low so the estimate under-promises.
What counts as a lead or an enquiry?
Any visitor who wants to give you money: a quote request, booking, viewing, reservation, new-patient registration or case enquiry. If your website has a contact form, phone number or booking email, the people who would have used them are your enquiries.
Where do I find my real numbers?
Visitors: your analytics. Enquiry rate: enquiries ÷ visitors — most small-business sites convert 1–5%. Out-of-hours share: your analytics hourly report or inbox timestamps. Miss rate: the honest count of messages that never got a same-evening reply.
Does the calculator send my figures anywhere?
No. The maths runs entirely in your browser. No input is transmitted, stored or tracked — disconnect from the internet and it still works.
Are these results guaranteed?
No — estimates, not promises. Real recovery depends on your traffic, trade, prices and how quickly you act on the leads the bot captures. Treat it as a sanity check: if a fraction of the estimate covers £49 a month, the free build is worth ten minutes.
What does HyperChat cost after the free build?
£49 per month per chatbot, all-in: 5,000 AI answers, embed, lead capture, analytics, API and webhooks. Building and previewing is free with no card. The “months of HyperChat” figure divides your estimated recovery by that £49.
